Monday Mayhem - Periodic Update 26.02.2018

I figure it's about time I updated everyone on what's been happening. It has been a busy couple of months since Christmas and I need to look back on what has happened.

I have managed to keep up with the one comfort bear each week as well as working on other projects. My to-do list keeps growing but I don't seem to be getting much time to work on it. Here is what it looks like now:-

I have been signed up with a different college for the course that I started two years ago but now I thinking that I don't really need a diploma as I don't really need a job, at least not a full time job anyway.

I have also been helping out a friend who's wife left him for an old boyfriend. Unfortunately, he is only on his learners so needs a fully licenced driver to sit with him. I had hoped that those duties would be over by now but he failed his driving test so it's going to be a little while longer.

On another note, after losing only 2kg last year, I have manage to lose 3kg so far this year. Here's hoping I can keep it off this time. I took up delivering catalogues and I think that might be helping.

That's about it for now. Until next time, have a good one.

Friday FOs - 23.02.2018

Another week has gone by and more finished objects to show you. Here are all the items I have finished this week.

Tiny Owl #3 for 2018
Tiny Owl #4 for 2018
Two tiny owls finished. I'm trying to make a few of thes in various colour combinations because I dan't have a lot of things that I can sell cheaply. I have have kids come up and ask what I had available for around $5 and these will fit the bill nicely.

Comfort Bear #8 for 2018
I am still managing to make one of these each week.

That's all my finished objects for this week. I hope to have a bit of time to take photos and post some progress shots next week. It all depends on whether a friend of mine gets his drivers licence on Monday as I have been spending time sitting next to him while he drives around.

Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Friday FOs - 16.02.2018

I have been a little more productive this week but still didn't have anything to show on Wednesday. I have finished another bear so you get to see that at least, and here it is.

Comfort Bear #7 for 2018
You can get some very interesting effects when using varegated yarn. This bear has a very interesting "Adam Ant" thing going on in the face that I didn't notice until I saw the photo in miniature.

That's it from me for this week. If I manage to get the time to take photos and post them on Wednesday then you will get to what else I have been working on.

Friday FOs - 09.02.2018

I have been struggling to get anything done this week. While I did make some progress on my Tunisian Spiral blanket but not enough to warrent a post and I have finished a bear, and here it is.

Comfort Bear #6 for 2018
That's  all I have for you this week. Hopefully next week will be more productive.

Until next time, have a good one.

Friday FOs - 02.02.2018

I managed to get photos of all my finished objects this week. I wasn't sure how I was going to do it but I have succeeded. So, without further ado, here they are.

Beanie
Mine was the only suitable head to display this on and my sister obliged in taking the photo. I wasn't really expecting to get this one finished so quickly as I'm usually quite a slow knitter.

Appliques
16 appliques all completed. I haven't sewn in any of the ends but I think the lady I have made these for can take care of them when she sews then on to the table covers that they have been made for so I am calling them finished.

Comfort Bear #5 for 2018
Another comfort bear finished and ready for service.

That's it from me for this week. I will be back home soon and everything will return to normal (whatever normal is).

Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.
