Friday FOs - 19.08.2022

It has been a while since I last posted anything and I have been busy and have completed a few things since then. It hasn't been the one Bear a week that I have managed to finish in previous years but I do have 3 bears finished and one blanket, and here they are. 

Comfort Bear No 7 for this year. 

Comfort Bear No 8 for this year. 

These bears have been finished for a while. It has been so long that I have forgotten when they were finished. 

Blanket No 2 from knitted rectangles. 

It has taken a while but I finally managed to finish the second of 2 blankets that I have been making by joining some knitted rectangles that were found in bags of donated yarn. I will be donating both blankets back to the Salvation Army. 

Comfort Bear No 9 for this year. 

This Bear was finished this week. It has been slow going but I'll keep working on these until I can't do it any more.

 I finally managed to catch up a little on my crocheting of bears. I managed to complete both last week's and this week's bears, and here they are.

I didn't get the blanket finished for this week. I still have a few ends to sew in. It is taking a bit longer than I expected because I keep getting interupted to help someone with the project that they are working on, but then that is what I get paid to do.

Edited to correct numbering of the bear. 

Due to needing to show someone how to do a particular pattern and forgetting to take what I had done of the bear that I had started the previous week, it took me two weeks to make a bear instead of the two days it normally takes. Hear is the bear that I started two and a half weeks ago.

I have stared another bear this week but haven't finished it yet so you shoould get to see it next week.

I have also almost finished a blanket from squares donated to the Arts Cratts and Activities Group where I teach crochet so I hope to be able to show off that next week also.

Friday FOs - 15-01-2021

It is two weeks into the new year and I have finally managed to get something finished. I am still having trouble finding time to get some crochet done but I did find a few hours this week and made my first Comfort Bear for this year and here it is.

I am still trying to figure out where I am going to store all my yarn and projects and may show everyone what my solution is. In the meantime, I will be trying to organise my time to do more crocheting.

I decided that a daggy old Cadbury stuby holder just wasn't good enough for my new job.

This Santa Bear is my 47th Comfort Bear for this year. I plan on making a second of these but I don't know if I will be able to as I expect to be quite busy over the next few weeks.

These may be my last finished objects for this year as I will be spending those days that I am not working preparing to move house and then unpacking at the other end.

I have only one finished object again this week although I have been working on something special for use at the job I am starting next week. Here is this week's finished object.

My latest bear is ready for service. I am planning on making a couple of special bears in honour of the job I will be doing in the lead up to Christmas. If everything goes to plan I should be abler to show one of them nexxt week along with the other special project that I am making.

This blanket will be donated to The Salvation Army for the chikdren to sit on or around while they have a story read to them. Of course, this won't happen while covid restrictions are in place as Albury Salvo Kids (ASK) isn't currently running.

It has been a bit of a rough week with two trips to the hospital, one because of the pain from a kidney stone and today to have a procedure that required some preparation. In spite of this, I still managed to get a bear finished this week, and here it is.

Well, it finally happened, I didn't make a bear last week. A kidney stone stopped me in my tracks and I didn't get it started. This means that I will be one short for the year unless I decide to make an extra one at some time. I have managed to finish obe this week and here it is.

My schedule is going to be thrown off a little next week also as I will be going into Hospital for a procedure that I get done every 5 years. Due to Covid-19 there is a little extra preparation this time and I will be self isolating for most of next week. I an sure that I will be able to get something done but I'm not sure if I will be posting.
