Wednesday WIPs - 02.11.2016

Firstly, for those that were waiting for my Monday Show Report post, I'm sorry, I forgot again, but don't worry, I've included it in today's post.

And now to your regular Wednesday WIPs feature. I have managed to get a bit more done this week, with a but of time spent in waiting rooms and working security in the Craft Pavilion for a few hours, so here are the items that I have worked on this week.

Story Time Blanket
It seems that having two students and being in a section of the blanket that requires a lot of colour changes means that I don't make a lot of progress. I did make some progress so I guess that's a good thing, and I'm helping others learn the craft so that's an even better thing.

Butterfly Square - Side 1
Butterfly Square - Side 2
I did ten rows on this square while doing my first stint of security in the craft pavilion before heading out to showbag alley to pick up some bags of chocolate.

Rose Corner 2 Corner Pixel Square
This method of carrying the yarn instead of cutting it may save of having fewer ends to sew in but it can get very messy with all the strands of yarn getting twisted and tangled.

Moogly CAL - Block 21
Another block finished! I'm still behind but there is a chance that I will be able to catch up this week.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
A few more colour changes and I nearly at the next corner. I would say that that is good progress.

And now for the show report. I entered 5 items in this year's show and I managed to get a first and a second in the "Tricot, Broomstick, Hairpin" category, and here they are.

Prize winning Beanie and Scarf.
That just happens to be my favourite category to enter as not many other people do. In saying that I should point out that (a) if the judges didn't think the entries were good enough they wouldn't award a prize and (b) mine weren't the  only entries in that category this year.

That's it from me for now. I will try to get my Trauma Teddy finished this week so that I can show it off on Friday, but don't hold your breath. In the meantime, be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Richard.
