Wednesday WIPs - 16.11.2016

Well, I'm trying to get my crochet act together and have been a little more productive this week. I have lots of photos but only three projects, and here they are.

Story Time Blanket
My students didn't need as much help this week so I was able to give this project a little more of my time and made pretty good progress on it.

Butterfly Square - side one
Butterfly Square - Side 2
I managed to finish another butterfly and took photos of all the butterflies I have made so far.

8 Butterflies- side 1
8 Butterflies - side 2
Moogly CAL - Block 22
I almost got this block finished, just a little bit of sewing to be done.

That's it from me for this week. I have finished the Trauma Teddy that I started two weeks ago so I will be able to show that one on Friday and I should have this week's done by then also, so check back then to have a look at them. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Wednesday WIPs - 09.11.2016

I have definitely been quite slack when it comes to crocheting this week. I havent even finished last week's Trauma Teddy. The only project that I have worked on is the Story Time Blanket, and this is what it looks like now.

Story Time Blanket
I was able to make ggod progress on this thanks mainly to long stretches without a colour change.

I hope to have last week's Trauma Teddy finished before Friday, but don't hold your breath. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Wednesday WIPs - 02.11.2016

Firstly, for those that were waiting for my Monday Show Report post, I'm sorry, I forgot again, but don't worry, I've included it in today's post.

And now to your regular Wednesday WIPs feature. I have managed to get a bit more done this week, with a but of time spent in waiting rooms and working security in the Craft Pavilion for a few hours, so here are the items that I have worked on this week.

Story Time Blanket
It seems that having two students and being in a section of the blanket that requires a lot of colour changes means that I don't make a lot of progress. I did make some progress so I guess that's a good thing, and I'm helping others learn the craft so that's an even better thing.

Butterfly Square - Side 1
Butterfly Square - Side 2
I did ten rows on this square while doing my first stint of security in the craft pavilion before heading out to showbag alley to pick up some bags of chocolate.

Rose Corner 2 Corner Pixel Square
This method of carrying the yarn instead of cutting it may save of having fewer ends to sew in but it can get very messy with all the strands of yarn getting twisted and tangled.

Moogly CAL - Block 21
Another block finished! I'm still behind but there is a chance that I will be able to catch up this week.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
A few more colour changes and I nearly at the next corner. I would say that that is good progress.

And now for the show report. I entered 5 items in this year's show and I managed to get a first and a second in the "Tricot, Broomstick, Hairpin" category, and here they are.

Prize winning Beanie and Scarf.
That just happens to be my favourite category to enter as not many other people do. In saying that I should point out that (a) if the judges didn't think the entries were good enough they wouldn't award a prize and (b) mine weren't the  only entries in that category this year.

That's it from me for now. I will try to get my Trauma Teddy finished this week so that I can show it off on Friday, but don't hold your breath. In the meantime, be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Wednesday WIPs - 26.10.2016

I have had another week of not getting as much done as I would have liked. Here are my WIPs for this week.

Tunisuan Spiral Blanket
I managed another change of colours this week and I expect to do a bit more on it tomorrow as I will be taking a friend to a dentist appointment in Wodonga.

Story Time Blanket
This one is getting so big that it's getting difficult to photograph. I might have to get the stepladder out soon.

Moogly CAL 2016 Block 21
I didn't get this one finished this week, although there is still a chance I can finish it before the next block comes out on Friday.

That's it from me for now. I doubt if I will have anything to show you on Friday but I might have something to show you on Monday. Today I took my entries for this year's Albury Show down to the Craft Pavilion for judging and I will find out the results on Friday. If I win anything I will do a Manday Mayhem post to show off my wins.

In the meantime, be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Friday FOs - 21.10.2016

I managed to finish last week's trauma teddy as well as thins week's. Here they are.

Trauma Teddy #30 for 2016
Trauma Teddy #31 for 2016
Not particularly exciting finishes but at least I have something to show for my time.

As usual, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have made.

Wednesday WIPs - 19.10.2016

I have tried to get a bit more done this week and, with the help of the time spent at Friday morning crochet class all by myself and time spent in a waiting room, I have managed to make a bit of progress on a couple of projects. Here are my WIPs for this week.

Story Time Blanket
I made pretty good progress on this while not having to worry about teaching. It seems that all my students needed to be somewhere else for the first week of term.

Moogly CAL Block 20
Another block complete. If I manage to get block 21 done this week I will actually be caught up.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I had a podiatrist appointment yesterday and got there nice and early to avoid the bad weather that was about to hit. That gave me plenty of time to work on this one and get another couple of colour changes done. Tomorrow I'm taking a friend to an appointment over in Wodonga so I should get a bit more done.

I have finished one trauma teddy this week and hope to finish another before Friday so I will definitely have something to show. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Friday FOs - 14.10.2016

After not finishing anything last week, I have finally managed to finish something this week. Last week's trauma teddy! Here it is.

Trauma Teddy #29 for 2016
This one is a little brighter than the others and I had to use a different cloth for the backdrop as my usual one was the same colour as the trousers.

That's it from me for this week. I hope to get a bit more done for next week but we will have to wait and see. As usual, check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have made.
