WIP Wednesday 03.10.2010

It's Wednesday again and I would like to start by thanking everyone for their lovely comments on last weeks post. I know I'm a bit slack when it comes to commenting on other peoples blogs but they already seem to have so many comments that I think mine will get lost in amongst all the others.

Anyhow, time to get on with showing you what I've been working on this week. I've only work on 3 items this week and 1 of them went backwards. Here they are.

Design Your Own Dragon Adventure  - pattern by FreshStitches
I've managed to complete the body and add arms and eyes. The pattern actually says to make all the bits and attach them before completing the body but I had a difficult time telling where to put the eyes until I had done most of the body any way.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
I've managed to add a bit more to the second sleeve this week. I should be able to get this one finished within the next couple of weeks and then it will be ready for the show.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
I added a bit more to this but found that I had made a mistake on one of the corners and had to frog a couple of rows so that I could fix it.

Well, that's it from me. Check out the links in the sidebar to see what everyone else has been making.

Richard.

  1. Such lovely knitting!

Never be afraid to comment. I'm sure I speak for most bloggers when I say I love reading each one, even on the rare days I get several.

  3. I'm always disappointed when people people don't leave comments, am sure I'm not alone. Particularly if I've visited and left comments on their blog...so speak up girl. The whole point of blogging is interaction, which can't be done if people don't leave comments. Your little dragon is gonna be soooooooooo cute.

    1. Um, I think you need to check my picture and name. I'm not a girl, I'm a guy. :)

  4. Don't be worried about your comment getting lost. I think most of us really value hearing from other bloggers, knitters, and cherish thoughtful comments.

  5. Oopsie, it posted before I was ready. Also wanted to say that the blues in your sweater are vibrant and a great choice, Richard!

  6. I know I love to get comments no matter how small. You really have some great things in the works. Your dragon is going to be adorable and the blanket and sweater are both sweet.

  7. Loving the dragon, and the colours of the jacket are gorgeous. Good to see another knitty computer programmer - my husband is a programmer too, and I've taught him to knit (haven't advanced to crochet though!)

    1. I kinda learnt to crochet first (although my mother did try to teach me to knit when I was quite young). These days I'll try my hand at all formats - knitting, regular crochet, tunisian crochet and crochet on the double.
