Wednesday WIPs - 30.12.2015

My last Wednesday WIP post for 2015. I have worked on four items this week, two of which are finished so you will have to wait until Friday to see them. I would have done more but I have been suffering from a virus for just over a week and it has knocked me around a bit. Here are the two WIPs.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
A trip to the doctors to find out why I was feeling crook gave me a bit more time to work on this one and make another colour change.

Toddler's Jacket
I have tried to modify a couple of different patterns to make this but I think I may have made a mistake with the sizing. This yoke looks to be quite large, but I think I can fix it later. This is the second of three projects for the lady in Wagga and she provided the yarn. The yarn (bamboo/cotton) is very nice to touch but it splits very easily so is a little tricky to work with.

That's it for me for today, be sure to check back on Friday to see my finished objects. In the meantime, be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people are working on.

Wednesday WIPs - 23.12.2015

Now that I have finished the bags that were taking up most of my time I can start getting back to normal (if I can ever figure out what normal is). Although, after a visit to our cotton supplier, I now have three more commisioned items to worry about. Here are the objects that I have worked on since last Wednesday.

Moogly CAL Square #23
I finally got around making this square. Just one more square to go before I figure out the layout and join them all together. Technically, I should have finished this CAL a couple of weeks ago but other things got in the way and now I have the heat of summer to contend with. Maybe this can wait a little while longer.

Tunisian Bamboo Stitch Beanie
I know I have my regular waiting room project but I decided to take this with me to work on while I waited for the dentist to take care of my wife's teeth. I got it to 7" and stopped there while I figure out if I'm going to try and shape it or just follow the pattern, continue until it measures 9" and then just gather it all together. Somehow, I think following the instructions in the patter might be easier.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I did eventually get this one out and added a few more rows. Not a lot of progress but some anyway.

Jug Cover
This is the first of the commissions that I need to work on. The cotton and the beads all came from the ladt that commissioned these.

That's it from me for now. Hopefully i will have something finished for Friday but I make no promises. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have been working on.

Friday FOs - 18.12.2015

I have managed to finish somethng this week. It isn't my usual weekly finished object but I'm pretty sure most of the people who follow my blog will know what they anyway. Here they are.

Three Shopping Bags with Pouches
Three Shoppings Bags in their Pouches
I haven't spoken to the person who ordered these since they ordered them so I hope they stil want them. If not, I've sold a couple lately so I'm sure someone will buy them eventually.

Now that these are finished I can go back to my regular projects and see if I can't finish some of them before the end of the year.

That's it from me for this week. Be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have made.

Wednesday WIPs - 16.12.2015

This week has been somewhat unusual, with two markets and a visit to the hospital. Even with this extra crochet time, I still only worked on two projects, and here they are.

Pixel Blanket
This one is almost squared off. Just a few more rows.

Shopping Bags
The second is ready for a button and the third is getting close.

That's it from me for now. Be sure to check back on Friday to see if I have managed to finish something. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Wednesday WIPs - 09.12.2015

With a bit of waiting time, a market and other activities, I have managed to work on a few projects this week. Here they are.

Story Time Blanket
I added a bit more to this during the last crochet class of the year. It may be a while before I do any more on this as it is far too warm at home.

Butterfly Square - side one
Butterfly Square - side two
I was quite busy at the market on Saturday, but I still managed to get another square started.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket
I didn't get much work done on this while at the specialist's office but then I ended up waiting for Sue at the Salvos. If I had known how long she was going to take I would have insisted that she took me home. At least I was productive.

Trauma Teddy
This is as far as I got with this last week. I needed to concentrate on other things so this didn't get finished. I haven't even started one for this week so I'm going to fall behind.

Shopping Bag with Pouch
This is the second of three bags that I need to to get done fairly quickly.

That's it from me for now. I don't know if I will have anything finished this week, but I'm sure others will. Be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what other people have been working on.

Friday FOs - 04.12.2015

For the first week in quite a while I haven't managed to finish a trauma teddy. In fact, I haven't finished any of my knit or crochet projects. That doesn't mean that I don't have anything at all to show you, I do, but it's not my usual fare.

Storage Box/Display Case
Ready to display my wares
With most of my toys on display
Ready to be stored and transported
It has been a while since I attempted anything like this. It's not my best work. There are some issues with the size of the panels, the painting isn't the best and it is basically rough and ready, but I think, as a proof of concept, it will do the job. I may trim a bit off the shelf at some time to make it easier to fit into the box, and I would like to make more of these, including a couple with hanging space, but I can't justify the cost unless I start selling lots of stuff.

That's it from me for this week. Be sure to check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have made.

Wednesday WIPs - 02.12.2015

This week has been a bit different with very little crafting happening because I was either too busy or too tired. We went up to Sydney to see friends get commissioned and, while I did take projects with me, I just didn't do any crocheting. Here are two of the three projects that I have worked on this week.

Story Time Blanket
By now you should be able to figure out part of this picture but it will take a while before the rest is revealed. Only one week of crochet class left so I don't know how much progress I will be able to make on this over the coming weeks.

Shopping Bag with Pouch
I started the second of three shopping bags that one of the church family wanted. The two halves of the pouch are almost done. For those interested in the pattern, I'm sorry, I can't really help there as the only identification the pattern has on it is the name of Patricia's blog - Hooks and Books. I could possibly check with her to see if she minds me sharing it or you could check with her to see if she is willing to share it with you.

The third item that I have worked on is the storage box come display case that I'm making in an effort to reduce my market setup time. I hope to have it finished by Friday so that I can test it out on Saturday. It's currently sitting in the backyard with its first coat of paint but I didn't take any photos as it doesn't really fit the yarn theme of this blog. It may be the only thing finished for Friday as I haven't worked on my weekly Trauma Teddy yet and I don't think I can finish it tomorrow.

That's all from me for now. Check back on Friday to see if I manage to finish anything. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what others have been working on.
