Friday FOs - 15.04.2016

I didn't manage to finish this week's trauma teddy but I'm sure I will have it finished for next week. I did finish the two jackets that I have been working on over the last fer months, so here they are.

Wednesday WIPs - 06.04.2016

I wasn't sure if I would have any WIPs to show today, but I got slack yesterday and didn't finish the jacket that I had worked on, so here it is.

Baby's Jacket

It just needs the ends woven in and the button sewn on and this one will be finished and ready for delivery.

Wednesday WIPs - 30.03.2016

I was so busy with other things last week that I forgot to take photos of my WIPs and I didn't manage to finish anything so I didn't get anything posted. I have managed to take photos this week and I will have something finished for Friday. Here are the WIPs I have worked on this week.

Story Time Blanket

I actually made progress on this last week but now crochet classes are on a break so I don't think there will be much progress over the next couple of weeks.

Baby's Jacket

Almost finished this one. Just have the trim around the sleeves to do before sewing in ends and sewing on a button. I will soon be able to get back to some of the other projects that I have been neglecting.

Wednesday WIPs - 16.03.2016

I'm still struggling with my mojo and almost have to force myself to crochet. I still enjoy it when I do it but I'm just having trouble picking up my projects. Here are the project that I have worked on this week.

Story Time Blanket

I have almost got back to where I was before I tried to correct an error. The error is still there but I don't feel like trying to fix it again and I don't think anybody else will notice.

Baby's Jacket

I have started the second sleeve so there is definite progress here. I need to get this and the toddler's jacket finished in 4 weeks as that is the next time I will be going to Wagga Wagga and I plan to deliver them then.

Wednesday WIPs - 09.03.2016

It's time to show off my WIPs again (after forgetting to do it last week). There are only two items that I have worked on in the last three weeks and here they are.

Story Time Blanket

I found a problem with this one and tried to fix it but I'm not sure that I was completely successful and I don't want to undo it again so I will try something else instead. As a result, I haven't really made progress on this and have actually gone backwards.

Baby's Jacket

I'm still trying to get these jackets finished so that I can get back to my regular projects. I am getting closer.

Wednesday WIPs - 17.02.2016

I still seem to be having trouble finding my tuits, especially the round ones. I seem to be spending more time reading email than I spending crocheting. That doesn't mean that I haven't done any. Here are the projects that I have worked on this week.

Story Time Blanket

I managed to get a bit of this one done during crochet class. My pupils are slowing me done a bit but not too much.

Baby's Jacket

I should have had this and the toddler's jacket finished by now but I put it down to a lack of round tuits. I will get them finished and delivered eventually, maybe for the next time I go to the dentist.

Wednesday WIPs - 10.02.2014

I'm still trying to get a special order finished so my regular WIPs are languishing at the moment. I have still managed to work on a few projects and here they are.

Story Time Blanket 

I had a pretty good run with no colour changes  so was able to make really good progress on this one.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket

Another trip to the optomitrist to get some more photos taken meant some more waiting time so I managed to get another couple of colour changes done.

Toddler's Jacket

This one is ready for the ends to be sewn in and the button sewn on.

Baby's Jacket

This is the second jacket ordered, this one for a one year old.

Craft'n'Cuppa started back today (it was supposed to start a fortnight ago but Sue wasn't feeling well) and I did get started on this week's trauma teddy, but I'm hoping to have it finished tomorrow so I can show it off on Friday. Wednesday WIPs - 03.02.2016

Things are starting to return to something resembling normal with Friday morning crochet class resuming. I still haven't got back to my regular crafting habits but that is mainly because I'm still working on the things that have been ordered. I have worked on a few things this week and are the ones that are still WIPs.

Story Time Blanket

I didn't make a lot of progress on this one this week, but it is hard to work on your own projects while trying to help others start theirs, and we have more students to look after this year, which is a good thing.

Toddler's Jacket

I have almost finished this and will be ready to start on the other jacket (for a 1 yo) soon.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket

Today Sue and I had appointments with the optomitrist so I took this with me so I had something to work on while Sue was being tested. I managed to finish getting around the corner and a couple of colour changes while I was waiting. It looks like I will get another chance to work on again next week as there was one test that Sue had that I need to have but we couldn't both have on the same day as we can't drive after.

I have another week of progress to show off again today, and I even remembered to take the photos this afternoon so they are a better quality this week. Here are the projects that I have worked on this week.

I set this out to take the photo and realised that it was too long, so I will have to rip back a few rows.

I found another ball of the grey (it had fallen on the floor) so I should have enough to finish now.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket

Sue wasn't feeling too well on the weekend and didn't feel much better on Monday so made an appointment to see the doctor. This meant more time in a waiting room and more progress on this blanket. I have seen quite a few of these lately, they seem to be quite popular.

Wednesday WIPs - 20.01.2016

I was sitting watching TV, wondering if I should pick up a project and get some more work done when Sue asked me if I had taken the photos today since it's Wednesday, and guess what, I hadn't, so I got out the sheet I use as background and took photos. These aren't the best quality photos as they were taken indoors under artifial light but here are the projects that I have worked on this week.

An appointment with the podiatrist on Thursday meant some more time to spend on this and another couple of colour changes.

Slippers for Me

One slipper done and a good start made on the other. Unfortunately, I don't have enough of the grey to complete this so I will have to see if I can find some more, or at least a close equivalent.

We had our orientation day at Mirambeena Community Centre on Monday so I thought I would take the opportunity to work on this one.

Now that I have the size right this is progressing well.

Wednesday WIPs - 13.01.2016

This week, I have spent some time in a waiting room, worked on a slipper, frogged what I had done of the toddler's jacket and restarted it. Here is what those WIPs look like now.

Slipper fo Me

I'm still kinda experimenting with this, having started the instep, didn't like the way it looked, frogged it and tried again. There are still elements that I'm not entirely sure about but I will continue for now and see how it goes.

Toddler's Jacket (take 2)

When I checked my first effort against a jacket I had previously made I found that the neck was too big and the body was too small, so, after I frogged my first effort, I took some measurements of that jacket  and restarted. I'm now debating whether I need another increase row or not as the back now measures 10.5".

Tunisian Spiral Blanket

I had enough time, while waiting for a chiro appointment, to make another colour change.

Wednesday WIPs - 06.01.2016

I have been struggling to get my crochet mojo lately. I find that I'm easily distracted and finding other things to do. As a result, I haven't done much at all and only worked on two items, and here they are.

Toddler's Jacket

I probably should have made more progress on this but I guess any progress, no matter how little is still progress.

Slipper

One of the Ravelry groups I belong to is having an 'All About Me' CAL where we are supposed to make something for ourselves, but it needs to be something that we have never made before or use a technique that we have never used before. I have never made slippers before and I need a new pair so this is what I have chosen to do.

And this is the slipper next to the foot that it needs to fit. I'm not sure if it is going to be big enough but there is a but of give in it. I will have to check it when I have done the instep.

Wednesday WIPs - 30.12.2015

My last Wednesday WIP post for 2015. I have worked on four items this week, two of which are finished so you will have to wait until Friday to see them. I would have done more but I have been suffering from a virus for just over a week and it has knocked me around a bit. Here are the two WIPs.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket

A trip to the doctors to find out why I was feeling crook gave me a bit more time to work on this one and make another colour change.

Toddler's Jacket

I have tried to modify a couple of different patterns to make this but I think I may have made a mistake with the sizing. This yoke looks to be quite large, but I think I can fix it later. This is the second of three projects for the lady in Wagga and she provided the yarn. The yarn (bamboo/cotton) is very nice to touch but it splits very easily so is a little tricky to work with.

Friday FOs - 21.08.2015

The shoulder strap has been attached and the buttons have been sewn on  (although I'm not sure if I have chosen the right buttons) so I'm calling this one finished and ready for use.

This week's trauma teddy has been made withyarn that was donated by one of the clinics that we give teddies to.

This morning, at crochet class, I sowed in the ends and attached the buttons to both of these jackets.

With all of these finished I should now have more time to work on other projects that need my attention  (so long as I don't start more), so maybe I will get a few more finished in the next few weeks.

I have had another busy week, crocheting and sewing, and now it is time to show off most of my projects. Here they are.

This one is now ready to have the ends sewn in and the buttons sewn on. All I have to do is find some suitable buttons.

I've made the arms and legs, just have the tails to make and then I will be ready to sew them all together.

I'm making good progress on this and may have it finished in record time.

Wednesday WIPs - 12.08.2015

Well, I have been just as busy this week as last, although I did have a day off yesterday as I didn't feel much like doing anything at all. I did manage to work on most of my projects again this week so here are my progress photos.

The collar is now done on this, now I need to figure out how to do the same on the 4 ply version.

I almost forgot to take a photo of this one and only remembered when I was updating my projects on Ravelry.

Boy's Rugby Jumper 

I finally got around to sewing this one together and it is now ready for the collar.

Story Time Blanket 

This has been my main focus for this week, the one project that I kept going back to after I had spent some time on other projects. If I keep up this pace I will have this ready for this year's show at the end of October.

Man-bag 

I still have about 8 inches of shoulder strap to do but the ball of yarn I was using has almost run out. I hope that the other ball is a close enough match.

I am always telling people how many projects I have on the go at the same time. This week, I have managed to work on most of them. Here are all the WIPs that I have worked on this week.

Shy Butterfly Baby Jacket 

I managed to finish the second sleeve. Now I just have the collar to do.

Man-bag 

I started on the shoulder strap this week. I still have a bit to do before this is ready to use.

Two Monkeys 

I finally got around to finishing the body of the second monkey and now have the arms, legs and tail and sew them together.

I managed to find time to do another ten rows on this square.

This is the main project that I have worked on as it is an order and I want to get it done as soon as possible.
