Medium Produce Bag
Here is my first produce bag. I'm not sure how much it will hold but I think I will be making the larger size from here on. I will be testing it out next week.

Comfort Bear No 35 for this year

Here is this week's Bear.

That's all I have for you this week. Hopefully I will manage to finish something for next week and remember to post it.

Until next time, have a good one.

Friday FOs 24.04.2020

Last week I managed to post my finished objects to all the different forums that I participate in excep this blog and that is because my tablet ran out of battery power, so this week you get 2 week's worth of finished objects, and here they are.

Comfort Bear No 16 for this year
Here is last week's bear.

Two Yellow Sheep
I managed to finish the two yellow sheep that I have been working on for about 4 weeks.

One full set of Sheep
I now have two full sets of sheep inspired by the book "Where is the Green Sheep".

Shopping Bag with Pouch

Shopping Bag in Pouch
Here is another shopping bag ready for service. I now have 9 shopping bags available for sale, I just need to add them to my shop.

Comfort Bear No 17 for this year.
My only finished object this week is another comfort bear. I went to the doctor on Monday and delivered a bag full  that the nurse was happy to recieve.

Now that I have two full sets of sheep I need to start working on the Brown Bear sets. I have one Brown Bear so far.

That's all I for you this week. Until next time, stay safe and have a good one.

Richard.

Wednesday WIPs - 25-03-2020

Since I my regular Wednesday evening activities have been cancelled for the duration of pandemic I have time to post a few progress photos. Here are some of the objects that I have worked on this week.

Two Yellow Sheep
It seems to be taking longer than normal to get these finished. Maybe now that I am spending more time at home I can get more work done on these.

Another Shopping Bag with Pouch
I am still making Shopping Bags. I will eventually move on to other things but I don't believe I have enough yet.

Hungarian Crochet Square
I have spent a bit of time in waiting rooms recently and so have made some progress on this.

Regular readers will have noticed that I didn't post anyting on Friday. This is because I didn't finish anything last week. The time I would normally be crocheting was spent driving as I had a memorial service to attend some 5+ hours away.

That's about all I have for you at the moment. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Wednesday WIPs - 01.01.2020

I thought it would be a good idea to start the new year by showing off all my WIPs, so here they are.

A Comfort Bear in the making
This is what this week's comfort bear looked like a 3:00pm. I don't normally show these on Wednesday as I am confident that I can complete it before Friday But thought I might as well include it today.

A Shopping Bag with Pouch
Another bag to add to the collection. This one probably won't be finished by Friday but the one I started last week is so I do have a bag to show off on Friday.

Two Purple Sheep
Two heads, 8 legs and half a body done so far. I doubt if I will get these finished in the next couple of days.

Lounge Chair Cover
I only work on this on Friday evenings after I have posted my finished objects for the week. Most weeks I don't seem to have any time to work on it at all.

Story Time Blanket
Reverse side of Story Time Blanket
This is a project I started a few years ago for the Sunday School kids. I mostly work on this on Friday mornings while at crochet class so it's in time out now due to no classes and being too hot to work on. In the first photo it looks pretty mush done but a close look at the second reveals all the ends yet to be sewn in. I also plan on embroidering a Bible verse in the blank area next to the cross.

Corner to Corner Pixel Blanket
This is one of two projects I work on while at markets. I'm still trying to work out the best way of avoiding having so many ends to sew in. The top left square was my first attempt and there are far too many ends.

Double Knit Butterfly Squares - side one
Double Knit Butterfly Squares - side two
This is the second of the two projects I work on while at markets. I'm still kinda learning the technique and hve recently seen a video on how to cast on for double knitting. Myabe I will try it for the next square.

Hungarian Crochet Squares
This is my 'waiting room' project. I seem to spend quite a bit of time in waiting rooms (might be because of my age) and I need something to work on because I'm not really into reading magazines.

Short Rows Knitted Scarf
This is another project that goes pretty much every where I do but only comes out when I'm bored with everything else. I made one of these in Tunisian Crochet and thought I would try a knitted version.

Sunhat and Bootees
While this is a UFO I'm not sure that it qualifies as a WIP as I don't really have any incentive to finished it. Baby clothes just don't seem to be selling at the moment. It seems that the current generation of parents just aren't interested in putting their kids in handmade clothing.

I should probably check my to-do lost (posted on Monday) to see if I managed to find all my unfinished objects (or make sure they're all listed) but these are the ones that I did find.

That's it for now. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Friday FOs - 06-12-2019

Another week comes to an end with a couple of finished objects to show off. Here they are.

A Green Sheep
My sister ordered another Green Sheep (must have another grandchild on the way) so here it is.

Comfort Bear No. 50 for this year
Another Comfort Bear ready for service. A few weeks ago I made two of these in one week so I am one ahead. I need to decide if I am going to make an extra one this year or take a week off and finish with 52 for the year.

That's it from me for this week. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Another week has come to an end and I have a finished object to show off, and here it is.

Comfort Bear No. 40 for this year
This is actually last week's bear. I haven't managed to finish this week's bear which means that I'm a week behind.

Tha's all I have for this week. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Friday FOs - 02.08.2019

Comfort Bear No. 30 for this year
This is the bear that I started last week.

Comfort Bear No. 31 for this year
Here is the bear that I started on Wednesday and finished this morning, so now I am all caught up.

That's all I have for you for this week. Until next time, have a good one.

Friday FOs - 15.03.2019

I have been struggling a bit lately, both with crocheting and posting photos. Here are the items that I have finished in the last three weeks.

Comfort Bear No. 9 for this year
This is the bear that I finished two weeks ago.

Comfort Bear No. 10 for this year
Here is last week's bear.

A Yellow Duck
This is the first of three ducks that I am making for a lady that works at one of the community centres that I teach at.

Comfort Bear No. 11 for this year
Here is this week's bear.

While I struggle with energy levels that make it difficult to stay awake long enough to finish anything I will continue to try to make at least one bear each week. Whether I will post every week is another question entirely, I promise nothing.

That's it from me for this week. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Friday FOs - 01.02.2019

It's the end of another week anf time, once more, to show off my finished objects, and here they are.

A Gold Fish
This is the last of the set of animals for the book "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?". I won't be making the teacher or the children.

And here is the full set.

The Full Set of Animals
These have all been bought by my sister and I have an order for three ducks so it might be a little while before I get to make another set. If you want a set you can drop me a line but it will take a while to make all of them.

Comfort Bear No. 5 for this year
Even though I'm on holidays and away from home I have still managed to make a Comfort Bear this week, my fifth for the year.

That's is from me for this week. Everything returns to normal (whatever that is) next week. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Last week's bear.

Octopus No. 13
Last week's octopus.

Comfort Bear No. 36 for 2018
This week's bear.

Octopus No.14
This week's octopus.

I have a few items that are almost finished so I hope to have them done for next week. In the meantime, have a good one.

Friday FOs - 06.07.2018

I almost forgast to post my finished objects for this week. Here they are, in the order they were finished in.

Green Sheep #3
Having given away two of these already I thought I should have one for the shop. Expect this one to be for sale shortly.

A Blue Octopus
This is my fifth octopus, one of which has already been given away. When I have a bag full of these I intend to take them over to Wodonga Hospital's maternity ward to be given to preemie babies.

A Blue Sheep
The plan was to make a rainbow of sheep and put them up for sale but this one is already sold along with four others, a red one, a yellow one, a purple one and a white one. These a pretty much all the colours that appear in the book "Where's the Green Sheep" with the white standing in for all the different non colour sheep that are mentioned.

Comfort Bear #27 for 2018
I couldn't not have one of these done this week. This year may be the one year where I actually go the whole year completing one each week.

That's about it from me for this week. Until next time, have a good one.

Richard.

Wednesday WIPs - 27.06.2018

I think it is about time I showed some progress photos. Here are some of the items that I have worked on recently.

Bootees for a Sunhat and Bootees set
I'm not sure that I need any more bootees for my stall but I don't have any Sunhat and Bootees sets at the moment and they were at the top of my to-do list.

Green Sheep
This is the third green sheep since I started making these. The first went to my sister to be given to my great niece whose favourite book is "Where's the Green Sheep", the second is finished and ready to be photographed before being given to the local community centre (they read this book to the kids sometimes) and this one will be added to my shop. I plan to make other coloured sheep as weel but seem to be stuck on green ones at the moment.

Story Time Blanket
Only two more strips and the border to go on this one then it will be time to sew in the ends and embroider a verse of scripture into the blank area before I call it done.

Tunisian Sprial Blanket
I am now working on the black edging. Once that's done I will sew in the ends and call it done.

I have also been working on joining the squares I made for the 2016 Moogly CAL but didn't remember to take photos. Maybe if I remember next week you will get to see it.

I did take photos of my finished objects last Friday but forgot to post them. If I remember this week I will post them along with this week's finished objects.

That's it for now, until next time, have a good one.

Richard.
