I do hope they fit. They will stretch a bit but without having size 13 feet I have no way of knowing if they will be OK for the recipient.

Wednesday WIPs - 24.08.2016

Looking at all the projects that I have worked on this week it looks like I have been really busy, but it hasn't felt like it. Here are the projects that I have worked on this week.

Storytime Blanket

I had a bit of time without any students on Friday so I made good progress on this for a little while.

This is the latest block for my Double Knit Butterfly Blanket. I'm not entirely sure why it shows up as grey in these photos as it is actually mauve.

This is just one of the projecs that I worked on while at a market on Saturday morning.

Corner to Corner Pixel Square

I finished crocheting the square, now I have to sew in all the ends. I will try to figure something to reduce the number of ends for the next square.

Moogly CAL Block #14

I'm catching up with this CAL and am now 3 blocks behind.

Size 13 Slippers

The instep of the second slipper is almost finished which means that this pair of slippers is almost ready for delivery.

Tunisian Spiral Blanket

I was in a waiting room this morning so I pulled this out of my bag and got through another colour change.

I have spent most of my crochet on one project again this week, although I have managed to finish something that has been hanging around for a while. Here are my WIPs for this week.

Progress on this is a bit slow at the moment. It seems my students require a bit more of my attention than normal and it is slowing me down a bit.

This  experiment is almost at an end and I would have finished this week if it hadn't been for a new project that I started.

Size 13 Slippers

I have been asked to maked a pair of slippers for a man with size 13 feet. I'm hoping to use the lessons that I learnt while making my own.

This is all I have to show you today. I must apologise to anybody that was expecting to see a post on Friday. I did take a photo but I forgot to post it. I have managed to finish a couple of items this week, and here they are.

A Pair of Slippers

There are some aspects of these that I would change but I expect that these will keep my feet warm when the weather turns cold in a few months.

Trauma Teddy #2 for 2016

After a bit of a slow start with these I am finally getting into the swing of making one per week. I'm sure that the lady that sews on the Salvation Army tags will be real pleased.

Wednesday WIPs - 20.01.2016

I was sitting watching TV, wondering if I should pick up a project and get some more work done when Sue asked me if I had taken the photos today since it's Wednesday, and guess what, I hadn't, so I got out the sheet I use as background and took photos. These aren't the best quality photos as they were taken indoors under artifial light but here are the projects that I have worked on this week.

An appointment with the podiatrist on Thursday meant some more time to spend on this and another couple of colour changes.

Slippers for Me

One slipper done and a good start made on the other. Unfortunately, I don't have enough of the grey to complete this so I will have to see if I can find some more, or at least a close equivalent.

We had our orientation day at Mirambeena Community Centre on Monday so I thought I would take the opportunity to work on this one.

Now that I have the size right this is progressing well.

Wednesday WIPs - 06.01.2016

I have been struggling to get my crochet mojo lately. I find that I'm easily distracted and finding other things to do. As a result, I haven't done much at all and only worked on two items, and here they are.

I probably should have made more progress on this but I guess any progress, no matter how little is still progress.

Slipper

One of the Ravelry groups I belong to is having an 'All About Me' CAL where we are supposed to make something for ourselves, but it needs to be something that we have never made before or use a technique that we have never used before. I have never made slippers before and I need a new pair so this is what I have chosen to do.

And this is the slipper next to the foot that it needs to fit. I'm not sure if it is going to be big enough but there is a but of give in it. I will have to check it when I have done the instep.
