Another Friday and another FO. This makes 10 so far this year. This one was started on 21 March 2011 so, since I finished it yesterday, it took just 1 week short of 2 years to complete, and it measures about 2m square.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug |
I'm going to enter this one in the local show later this year, although they haven't judged tartan rugs favourably in the past so I'm not really expecting big things from it. Now that I've managed to finish a couple of my major projects I need to decide what I'm going to replace them with. I have already decided to make some more baby clothes and I'm thinking of starting a Tunisian Spiral similar to one I saw previously. I'm sure I can work out a pattern for it.
I don't expect to have anything finished for next Friday but I should have plenty of progress shots on Wednesday. In the meantime, check out the links in the sidebar to see what everyone else has been making.
Richard.
Beautiful rug! I don't care what the judges say. Happy Fiber Arts Friday!
ReplyDeleteAwesome....thanks for sharing and I agree with AllyB about not caring about what the judges say.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. I've been anxiously awaiting the completed project and I'm happy to say you did great!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rug, no matter what the judges say. But good luck in the show anyway.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful rug Richard, Lot of hours gone into that pattern :))
ReplyDeleteLooks great! Two years? Reminds me that I should take my sweater out of hibernation.
ReplyDeleteThank You for sharing this with Show Your Stuff.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the finish! This rug is fantastic; I've loved watching it develop.
