WIP Wednesday 24-08-2011

It's been a busy couple of weeks with the move and everything. We have the cleaners in tomorrow and the final inspection in the afternoon and then then all the unpacking. If it's anything like previous moves it will be years before everything is unpacked.

With all that's been going on I still managed to get a little bit of crochet done.

My hoodie has been progressing well.

I'm almost up to the shaping for the armholes.

The Tunisian Crochet Mitred Square Blanket has had a few more squares added to it.

The first ball ran out just before I finished the last square of the third panel so it looks like this is only going to be 5 panels wide instead of the 6 originally planned. It will still be a good size for a knee rug.

The Crochenit cot blanket is making slow progress.

It doesn't look much like a blanket yet but it is growing.

I also added a few more rows to my tartan rug.

There's a good chance that I will run out of red for this one and I'm giving serious thought as to what I should do about it. I'm unlikely to be able to get the same dye lot.

I had my first sale on Madeit, a tan tea cosy. Unfortunately, I had already sold it at a local market, so now I have to make a new one. It turns out that the buyer wanted 2 of them and gave me instruction on what she wanted for the second one.

One of 2 Tea Cosies sold through Madeit.
It still needs to be sewn up and embellished with flowers. I let her know that the other wasn't actually available and she indicated that that was OK and gave me a new colour scheme to work with for it.

That's it for me for this week. I don't expect to have anything finished for Friday so you'll have to wait another week for my next FO Friday post.

  5. great on the sales!
I impressed myself and everyone else by unpacking to our new home in just over 2 weeks....unfortunately though it seems we are back to living in a cluttered mess. (no help that my daughter and her 5 children are living with us now as they had no other place to go--sure hope that ends soon)

  8. Your Tunisian Crochet is awesome, Richard. I have yet to try this. Also, your Tartan Rug is gorgeous. I wouldn't want to step on it ;) You m-i-g-h-t be able to get a Lot match on that red over on Ravelry. Just a thought. I'm visiting from Every Day Crochet.
