Palm Sunday

No YouVersion notes today so you'll just have to put up with mine.

The reading for this morning came from Luke 19:29-44

We are always ready to cheer on winners when they are winning but we are also ready to mock them when they fail.

When Jesus rose into Jerusalem the people cheered but within a week they were calling for Him to be crucified. The people had seen all the miracles that Jesus had performed and thought that He had come to free them from their oppressors but instead He cleared the money lenders out of the temple, He told them to pay the taxes to Caesar and told them that giving of their poverty was worth far more than giving of their wealth, so they turned on Him and called for His blood.

Will you continue to support your leaders even when they don't do what you think they should? Please pray for our leaders, whether they be church, business or political, that they will know that God is with them and watching over them.

May God bless your richly this week.

Richard.
