Thursday Thoughts - What's the Hurry?

This one was kinda brought on by something that happened this afternoon. I was driving to a doctor's appointment when I was overtaken by a couple of cars, driven by people who have no regard for speed limits, only to catch up to them at the next set of traffic lights.

It doesn't seem to matter where I go, whether it be a large city or a small town, there always seems to be people that are in some much of a hurry to get no where fast. It used to amuse me to watch people tear off from one set of traffic lights only to be stopped at the next.

This hurrying isn't restricted to roads. We live in a society that wants everything now, they are not prepared to wait. Because of this, manufacturers don't have time to make things right, they're in too much of a hurry to "get it out the door".

All these things have a flow on effect and can degrade our quality of life. We need to take time to get things right. We don't need everything straight away (we may want it but we don't need it).

Slow down, take time to smell the roses, relax and life can be co much more pleasant.

Richard.
