We had a special meeting this morning with the dedication of an infant, so the whole service was centred around children.
The reading this morning came from Psalm 8.
A great theologian by the name of Karl Barth was once asked to summarize Christianity by a group of students attending a seminary. After some consideration he answered "Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so."
This is something that often gets overlooked today. We all want to be loved and hear it from those that we love. To be loved warts and all is a blessing. How much more of a blessing is it to to know that we are loved by God?
Have you ever felt that you didn't belong? We all have a need to feel that we belong to something. We can all belong to Christ.
Why does God bother with us when we are so small and insignificant compared to Him? We are weak but He is strong. God does not leave us alone in our weakness. God will use that weakness to overthrow His enemies.
Jesus loves me, this I know, for the Bible tells me so!
