WIP Wednesday

Well, it's that time of the week again, time to show off what I've been working on this week.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
Another 6 chains threaded through. I'm starting to think that I should start sewing in ends as there are quite a lot of them already. I did have an issue with the red as I ran out and had to use a different yarn. It looked like a pretty close match while I was working on it indoors but it's quite noticeable out in the sunlight, not that you can tell from this picture.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
 Progress has been made here.

Squares in Squares Blanket
I left the tape measure in place after measuring this one but you can't really see the numbers on it. It's now 75cm (29.5") across so one more stage should see it exceed 1m and that will be plenty big enough for a knee rug. I'm starting to think that the bigger triangles are dominating the smaller ones so the red, orange, yellow, green and blue are kinda getting lost in the mauve, purple and pink (it may not look it but that last set of triangle is pink). I've chosen a lime green for the next stage and then I am going to frame it all in black.

Fifth and Final Segment of Daffodil Teacloth
I've made a start on the last segment, even if it doesn't look like much at the moment.

Slanted Scarf
I have made a little progress on this one. I measured this one as well but can't remember how long it is and can't read the tape in the photo. I still have a little bit of the wool left so I'll keep going on it in any case.

Toddler's Jacket #4 - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
A few more rows have been added to this. It's amazing how much I can get done in crochet class when I don't have anyone to teach.

That's it from me, I will be back on Friday with a couple of FO's. Until then, check out Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Kristine's Ambassador Crochet and Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On to see what others have been making.

Daily life and Sabbath

Daniel 6:10 NIV
Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before.

Daily Office & Sabbath

Our culture knows very little about rhythm. In fact the word 24/7 didn’t exist some ten years ago. But now things just go from one thing to the next. Things are crazy, it’s non-stop. Everyone’s in a hurry, everbody’s busy. And instead of being where we are in the present, most people are always on the way to something else. There are so many things around us that cut us off from our relationship with Christ. And if you are shut off from the body of Christ, you become isolated and shut down. If you are cut off, then you won’t have a life that is oriented around God. Daniel, at about the age of 17-20 was carried off from his home in Israel to Babylon. His people were wiped out by the pagan, Babylonian armies. Their temple was destroyed. And so, Daniel finds himself in the University of Babylon, basically. He’s learning Babylonian thinking and ways of living, math, medicine, myths. He’s learning astrology and about their gods. They change his name and they want to make him totally Babylonian. Babylon has one goal for Daniel. They want to cleanse God, the living God, from him. Cleanse it out of him and make him fully Babylonian. They make him an advisor to the king. You see, this provides a great image for us, doesn’t it? Because Babylon in the bible represents the world. Look around – we basically live in a world that wants to make us Babylonian. And any traces of a living God and what’s true inside of you the culture is just out to suck it out of you. Once those traces of God are removed, your thinking, your ways of being, your decisions, your values, your relationships, the way you view the world, is Babylonian and not of God. And that’s what is happening to Daniel. Daniel is under a high amount of pressure and there are people around him that are out to do him harm. They devise a plan to trick Daniel and the king makes a decree that if anyone does not bow to the king and bows to any other god, they’ll be thrown into the lion’s den. And here’s Daniel, it says in verse 10, ‘three times a day’ he disobeys the decree. It says, “Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he’d done before”. “Office” in Latin literally means, ‘work of God’, which is the reason the name “daily office” versus “quiet time or devotions” is used – because it makes a distinctions that ‘in office’ my work is to seek God. It’s to be with God. That is the first work of all of us in this room. And so, here’s the point of the discipline of a daily office – to be aware and present with God all throughout the day, and to be conscious of God when I am active. If we are going to have a spirituality with depth to it, if we are going to be spirit filled men and women, I really believe these two gifts are treasures to us.

My Notes

We started this morning by making a to-do list for this week. What does your to-do list look like for this week? Does it include quiet time with God? With everything you have going on this week, can you afford not to spend time with God? When I made out my to-do list I didn't include time with God, but then I didn't include meals or bathing either. These are things I do every day so I didn't think they needed to be included.

Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me!

May God bless you richly this week.

Richard.

The Week That Was 26.05.2012

Another busy week has finished (well it seemed busy to me) and it's time to look back to see if I've achieved anything.

At college this week I've been working on projects. All my subjects have a major project that needs to be completed and reports to write, so most of my class time has been spent working on these.

I managed to finish my first ever TCAL. I posted a photo of the final product here yesterday but I'm yet to put it on the TCAL mailing list, so I will need to do that shortly.

Last weekend we decided that it was time to start going through the boxes stored in the garage to see if there was anything in them that we wanted to keep. There are some things in there that have been boxed up for years so there's probably no need to keep any of it, but we will anyway. We managed to go through 7 boxes and have 3 boxes of stuff that we're going to keep, 1 1/2 that we're going to try and sell and 2 completely empty, so we made some progress.

Sue got all excited by a phone call during the week. It seems that we have filtered to the top of the list for disability housing and we were offered a place close to town. We told friends of our at band practice on Thursday night but as soon as they found out where it was they basically told us not to take it and said they wouldn't help us move in if we did. It seems there are a few horror stories from that part of town.

While there was a market on today I decided that I wasn't going to go. It's furthest away of all the markets that I do and it has cost me more to go and setup than what I've been selling there so I decided I didn't want to spend money to sit around freezing my tail off with no return, so I attend a men's prayer breakfast instead.

This being the last Saturday of the month I usually like to review my to-do list. I think I forgot to do this last month, but here it is.

Things to make to replace stock for my market stall:

Bottle Cosies in more team colours
2 String bags
Teapot Cosies
Fan Bookmark
Tea Towels

Current Work In Progress:

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
Crochenit Cot Blanket (trying a method for doing rows that are longer than the hook)
Knitted Scarf
Toddlers Jacket (finished one and started a new one)
Jumper (sweater to you Americans) for me
Tea cloth in #40 cotton
bag holders
Blanket from pattern in my head – possibly tunisian crochet short rows.

Things I'm itching to get started on:

Crochenit Knee Rug (same as Cot Blanket and will also use up some of my stash of 8ply)
Crocheted Slocks
Something from my "99 Granny Squares" book
Something in Tunisian Crochet Lace (I'm thinking of modifying Ellen's Jacket pattern by substituting a lace stitch in the main body of the pattern)
Something from Ellen's new book.
A doily from an old pattern book I bought.
Australiana2.0 Table Runner
Banner for Stall
Table Runners for each Australian state and territory.
Tunisian Crochet Intarsia Table Runner
Spiral Blanket (saw one on the internet and figured I could have a go at it without the pattern)

Plenty of work to carry on with there.

That's it for me for this week. I hope you all had a good one.

Richard.

FO Friday 25.05.2012

It's Friday once again and I know how bitterly disappointed you all would be if I didn't have an FO to show you. Well, guess what, I have, and here it is.

Men's Afghan Stitch Gloves - back and front views
The temperatures in the morning are getting mighty chilly so these should come in handy.

Now to decide what my FO is going to be for next week. The only thing I have that's near completion is the slanted scarf but I don't know if I'm going to be able to finish it in time. Maybe I'll just chose some small project that I know I can complete in a day or two and make that, just to make sure I have something.

As usually, I'm linking up with Wisdom Begins In Wonder, Natural Suburbia and Tami's Amis so check them out to see what everyone else is making.

WIP Wednesday 23.05.2012

It has another busy week and most of my WIPs have seen some progress, and here they are.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
Just a few more chains thread through this week.

Slanted Scarf
I've made good progress on this one.

Daffodil Teacloth
The fourth segment has been completed and joined to the first 3. Only one more segment and the centre to go, then comes the sewing in of ends (if I can find them all).

Squares in Squares Blanket
I didn't get to complete a full stage this week but it is getting larger and each stage is taking longer to complete. One more set of triangles after this and I will be ready to do the border. Someone last week asked if this is crocheted so for those that are interested, it is Tunisian Crochet.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
Another change of colour and it's almost square.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
I only finished one of these last week and started a new one almost immediately. This one is in shades of blue.

I still haven't sewn the hoodie together but I hope to make some progress on that this week. Those of you that have been paying attention will realise that something else is missing from this post but since that is no longer a WIP it will feature on Friday so come back then to have a look.

As usual, check out Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Kristine's Ambassador Crochet and Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On to see what others have been making.

The Week That Was 19.05.2012

Saturday is here again so it's time to look back at what has been going on around here.

At college this week it was kinda confirmed that the Cert IV course will go ahead no matter how many or how few students enrol. At his stage it looks like there might be 5 of us signing up but that's not really enough to warrant having the teachers there full time so we might not have the teachers in the class for the full amount of time scheduled. Of course there could be a bunch of people out there that have already done a Cert III course that have been waiting for the college to run the Cert IV and we will have full classes, but I doubt it.

I actually skipped class on Thursday this week. We had a house inspection on Friday so I needed to take time off college to do some housework and get the place cleaned up. I think we passed muster, at least we haven't heard any bad news, so I think we're OK.

Today Sue decided that we really need to go through the boxes that we have stacked in the Garage and try and sort out what we're going to keep and what we're going to get rid of, so I lugged a few boxes into the living room so we could watch a bit of TV while we worked. I think we sorted through about 6 boxes and ended up with 2 boxes of stuff we're going to keep and one and a half boxes that we're going to try and sell, so we've manage to reduce our amount of stuff quite considerably. If we keep going like this we may be able to park the car in the garage by the end of the year.

Tomorrow is Red Shield Sunday, when all of us good Salvo go out rattling our collection boxes in an effort to raise a bit of money so that we can continue helping those in need. Because of this there will be no sermon tomorrow so I won't be back until Wednesday when it will be time to show off my progress.

That's it from me for this week. I hope you all had a good one.

Richard.

FO Friday 18.05.2012

Well, it's Friday again, and so far this year I have not failed to have something finished each week. This week is no exception.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
I find it interesting how the colours pool in the main body of the jacket and have a stripy effect in the sleeves. This will be available in my store next week.

Check out Tami's Amis, Wisdom Begins in Wonder and Natural Suburbia to see what others have been making this week.

WIP Wednesday 16.05.2015

It' has been a very busy week with all except one of my WIPs getting a bit of attention this week. I even have 2 that are close to being finished.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
A few more chains woven through but still lots to go, and then all those ends to sew in.

Slanted Scarf
I still have quite a bit of wool left so I'm going to keep going until I run out.

Squares in Squares Blanket
Another set of triangles added. This is now 50cm across. Another 2 sets of triangles and it will be big enough. By the time I add a frame it will be about 1.2 metres square.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
Almost finished! Just need to sew in the ends and sew on a button. I have selected a pretty pink button to go on this. This will be my FO this week so you can expect to see it again on Friday.

Segment 4 of the Daffodil Tea Cloth
I'm almost ready to join this to the 3 segments already completed.

Left Glove of Men's Afghan Gloves
This will be next week's finished object. Just needs to be sewn together then I will have a pair ready to wear.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
Still plenty of work to be done on this one.

I haven't done anything with my hoodie this week so it's still waiting to be sewed together and I still need to order more yarn but I need to sell a few more items before I can afford it.

Check out Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Kristine's Ambassador Crochet and Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On to see what other people are making this week.

Enlarge your soul through grief and loss

Matthew 26:36-46 NIV
Then Jesus went with his disciples to a place called Gethsemane, and he said to them, "Sit here while I go over there and pray." He took Peter and the two sons of Zebedee along with him, and he began to be sorrowful and troubled. Then he said to them, "My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death. Stay here and keep watch with me." Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. "Couldn't you men keep watch with me for one hour?" he asked Peter. "Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak." He went away a second time and prayed, "My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done." When he came back, he again found them sleeping, because their eyes were heavy. So he left them and went away once more and prayed the third time, saying the same thing. Then he returned to the disciples and said to them, "Are you still sleeping and resting? Look, the hour has come, and the Son of Man is delivered into the hands of sinners. Rise! Let us go! Here comes my betrayer!"

Sermon Notes

One day you will lose everything. I mean we are headed, each of us, to a moment when we will be like Job. We will have lost all of our relationships, all of our health, and all of our possessions and achievements and we will stand before God utterly naked having being stripped of everything. So all of life is one of going through loss. The challenge for all of us is to do it God’s way, biblically. And there is a biblical engagement of grief and loss. And again that’s the reason two-third’s of the Psalms are griefs or laments to God. And the Book of Jeremiah is filled with laments and griefs to God. Most of the Book of Job is him struggling with his grief and loss. Read Matthew 26:36-46 Jesus himself is struggling here in the garden at Gethsemane with the word “sorrowful” or depression, sadness. The Gospel of Mark uses a different Greek word that means “horror came over him”. And the Scripture also tells us he is “troubled”. He’s severely distressed. Luke uses the word, in “anguish.” Jesus says it very clearly to his disciples. He’s very public about it. In verse 38, he continues, “My soul is overwhelmed with sorrow to the point of death.” He is broken. He is empty. He has got nothing to hold on to but God at this point. We need to listen to the interuption of grief: We need to learn to fall: When you go through grief and loss, praying is no longer a waste of time. It’s your lifeline. Because you’re falling. You have nowhere else to go. You’re off the cliff. You’re hanging onto God and you don’t know what he’s doing, but you know this, God is good and his love endures forever. And so you hang on and you fall. We shed our false selves when we fall.

My Copious Notes

The heading for today's sermon sounded a little off for some people, but for me it sounded about right. You see, my mother passed away 17 years and 3 days ago. Having the anniversary of my mothers passing so close to Mothers' Day doesn't make the day very pleasant for me and with the anniversary of Sue's parents' car accident being at the end of April, it's not a particularly happy day for her either, especially since her son doesn't contact her at all. As a result of all this I was somewhat distracted by my own thoughts of grief and loss and didn't take much in the way of notes.

In any case, I hope any mothers that read this have had a happy day and those that weren't able to share the day with their mothers have fond memories of past Mothers' Days.

May God bless you richly this week.

Richard.

The week that was 12.05.2012

Another week has finished and it's time to look back on what is my life.

Another week of college has passed and I've been learning about using Photoshop to design a  site layout, looking at good and bad website designs, how to design forms in Access, continuing to learn about Active Script in Flash, installing a Wordpress server and writing the documentation for the website that I've written. I even had one day this week where I was the only student. I'm still not sure how valuable what I'm learning about Access is. I'm hardly likely to use it as a web designer as the preferred database management tool is mysql, and we've already learnt about html forms in web class so the whole exercise just seem somewhat pointless.

Outside of college I've been doing the usual crafting, banding, shopping and all the other usual stuff. One thing I forgot to mention last week was that I've been roped into joining a singing group at the community centre where I teach crochet, so now I'm a member of Mirumbeena Melody Makers.

On another note, I've been reading a lot about the new Blogger and how people are having trouble doing things in the new interface and I thought I would put in my $0.02. I quite like it, I did have a few problems finding my way around at first, but now that I've used it for a couple of weeks it seems pretty good to me. One thing I do like is seeing how many people have visited my pages when I go to check for comments. While I like getting all the comments it's still nice to see how many people have visited my blog. It kinda lets me know that I'm not sitting here talking to myself.

The next thing I really need to do is to find a way to put up some more links. I would like to add a link to my shop and to some affiliates but so far I haven't been particularly successful but I having trouble finding the time. I guess that's what happens when you take up full time study. I also need to do another revue of my to-do list to see how I'm travelling. There's so much I would like to do but having the time and trying to figure what I'm going to do next is a bit of a problem.

That's it for this week, hope you all had a good one.

Richard.

FO Friday 11.05.2012

We went out to dinner with a group from shurch so I'm a little late getting this posted.

Here is this weeks finished object.

Shopping Bag Holder in Red and White
This is an experiment as I didn't have a pattern. I just made a tube and a couple of cords, thread the cords around each end and tied them off. I'm not sure if this is the sort of thing that the people want but I've had a few people ask about them so I figured it couldn't hurt to try. I think I'll make the cords shorter on the next one.

WIP Wednesday 09.05.2012

There has been so much progress here this week and I'm so much closer to getting things finished. This means that I will be starting some new projects soon.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
This one is progressing slowly but it is progressing.

Sleeves for Hoodie - Dawg by Drew Emborsky
The main pieces of this are complete so the next time you see this they should be sewn together. Unfortunately I don't have any yarn left for foing the hood, cuffs or pocket so it looks like I will need to order more.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
A few more rows have been added to this.

Daffodil Teacloth
 The fourth segment is growing.

Squares in Squares Blanket
This is growing quite quickly now as the triangles get bigger with each stage. I'm not sure why but this always seems to want to show up as blue in the photos. I've adjusted the colours a bit this week so that you can see that the last stage was actually a shade of purple.

Slanted Scarf
It's getting harder to see the progress on this, but it is still growing.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
I made a bit more progress on this than I had anticipated. One more session like the last one and this will be finished. This my even be my FO for next week.

Back of Left Glove - Men's Afghan Stitch Gloves
Another item that is almost finished. I should have all the crochet done this week, then all that's left is the sewing together.

Now that I've finished the main components of my hoodie I will need to find another project to take with me to doctors appointments and the like. The scarf might be OK to take with me although I'm a bit wary of taking knitting as it's difficult to leave it in the middle of a row. The Toddler's jacket is another good one although I think I may need to start another. I'm sure I'll find something.

To see what others have been making this week, check out Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Kristine's Ambassador Crochet and Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On.

Journey through the wall

Genesis 22

Genesis 22:1-19 NIV
Some time later God tested Abraham. He said to him, "Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied. Then God said, "Take your son, your only son, whom you love—Isaac—and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt offering on a mountain I will show you." Early the next morning Abraham got up and loaded his donkey. He took with him two of his servants and his son Isaac. When he had cut enough wood for the burnt offering, he set out for the place God had told him about. On the third day Abraham looked up and saw the place in the distance. He said to his servants, "Stay here with the donkey while I and the boy go over there. We will worship and then we will come back to you." Abraham took the wood for the burnt offering and placed it on his son Isaac, and he himself carried the fire and the knife. As the two of them went on together, Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, "Father?" "Yes, my son?" Abraham replied. "The fire and wood are here," Isaac said, "but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?" Abraham answered, "God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son." And the two of them went on together. When they reached the place God had told him about, Abraham built an altar there and arranged the wood on it. He bound his son Isaac and laid him on the altar, on top of the wood. Then he reached out his hand and took the knife to slay his son. But the angel of the lord called out to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!" "Here I am," he replied. "Do not lay a hand on the boy," he said. "Do not do anything to him. Now I know that you fear God, because you have not withheld from me your son, your only son." Abraham looked up and there in a thicket he saw a ram caught by its horns. He went over and took the ram and sacrificed it as a burnt offering instead of his son. So Abraham called that place The lord Will Provide. And to this day it is said, "On the mountain of the lord it will be provided." The angel of the lord called to Abraham from heaven a second time and said, "I swear by myself, declares the lord, that because you have done this and have not withheld your son, your only son, I will surely bless you and make your descendants as numerous as the stars in the sky and as the sand on the seashore. Your descendants will take possession of the cities of their enemies, and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." Then Abraham returned to his servants, and they set off together for Beersheba. And Abraham stayed in Beersheba.

Sermon Notes

Emotionally healthy spirituality week 4. The Christian life can be described as a journey with many ups and downs, stops and starts. The stages of faith model. After becoming a Christian we travel along, being discipled, serving and then BAM we hit the wall. This is often because of a crisis (divorce, job loss, shattered dream, expectations of God not met...). Many people get stuck at the wall or turn and run from it. To be emotionally healthy spirit filled people we need to be prepared to journey through the wall. 1. Our focus - God's will not ours. Abraham didn't argue, he surrendered and God did mighty things through him. 2. Our work. Awareness - becoming aware of our brokeness and those things in our life that God is wanting to work in. Forgiveness -accepting and embracing God's forgiveness for us and not continually beating ourselves up. Acceptance - realising that this is who we are. Broken people loved and forgiven by God. We embrace our wounds for what they will teach me the rest of my life. Where are you in the stages of faith, the journey. Are you stuck at the wall? Or have you run from it? Can you like Abraham say “LORD bring me closer to you no matter what the consequences.”

My Copious Notes

Abraham was an amazing man and moves through the wall when asked to sacrifice his only son. Abraham knew that God would do something as He had promised that Abraham would be the father of nations and that would only happen through Isaac.

God's grace can move us through the walls that face us and allow us to accept ourselves and His forgiveness.

May God bless you richly this week.

The Week That Was 05.05.2012

Looking back at the week each Saturday I often wonder if it's worth posting. It's not like I lead a very exciting life or anything. In fact, most people would probably think I lead a pretty boring life. This week wasn't particularly exciting either, but I'm going to tell you about it anyway.

This week at college we continued with making buttons in Flash and received the details for our major project for the term. In Graphics class we learnt how to make buttons in Photoshop and started looking at prototyping. In Software class we learnt about Entity Relationship Diagrams, Database Relationship Models and Data Dictionaries (all of which are meaningless to anybody that has never worked with databases). We learnt how to install a WordPress server in Hardware, and in Web we started documenting our websites.

On Friday morning the crochet class started up again but I didn't have any students to teach so I just sat there working on my own projects and chatting with the ladies that were working on their scrapbooking.

This morning we (my wife and I) headed out to Howlong for breakfast. There is a group there that meet on the first Saturday of the month and this month they had a special guest, a country singer who is also a Salvationist, so we thought we would join them this morning. We have meet this gentleman before and it gave us a good opportunity to catch up with him and meet a few new people in the area (Howlong is only 30 minutes up the highway).

I could tell you about my Ten Pin Bowling efforts on Wednesday night but I haven't been doing particularly well of late, although I did break the 200 barrier in one game this week, it's just that the other 2 games weren't good at all.

I could also tell you haw I sat and crocheted while watching TV on Thursday afternoon when I probably should have been studying, and how I pretty much did the same thing yesterday afternoon and today also, but I'm not sure that that's particularly interesting as I do that most of the time I have any time to spare.

Well, that's it for my week. I hope you have had a good one.

Richard.

FO Friday 04.05.2012

Greetings and welcome to another FO Friday post.

A couple of my long term projects seem to be getting close to completion. I just finished the second sleeve of my hoodie so now all I have to do is stitch it together and do the cuffs, the pocket and the hood. There's only one problem with this, I out of wool. I guess that means I need to order some more when I've got the money. I'm also very close to finishing my third Zoom Toddler's Jacket. I finished the first sleeve and got half of the second one done yesterday afternoon.

All this talk of nearly finished objects is all well and good but you came here to see a finished article and here it is.

Drink Bottle Cosy in Red and White
This adds to my collection of drink bottle cosies in footy team colours. I do hope that this is the right team for someone as nobody seems to want the others that I've already made. I still have about a dozen of these to make before I have every team covered but I think I have plenty of time and they only take a day to make. Expect to see more of these shortly.

I haven't decided what my FO is going to be for next week but I have plenty of items to choose from. To see what others have been making this week checkout Tami's Amis, Natural Suburbia and Wisdom Begins in Wonder.

WIP Wednesday 02.05.2012

Hello and welcome to another WIP Wednesday. Since I finished Tommy Turtle last week and I haven't decided what toy I'm going to start next I only have 8 WIPs at the moment. I know that sounds a lot and I still need to finish more than I start before the end of the year if I'm going to keep my New Years Resolution (does anybody actually manage to do that?) but I figure that I won't get bored this way. All 8 projects have seen some progress this week, although some have seen more than others.

And now, in no particular order, here are the projects I've been working on this week.

Rose Clan Dress Tartan Rug
A few more chains have been woven in on this one.

Second Sleeve of Hoodie - Dawg by Drew Emborsky
I think I'm almost finished this, I'll need to check it against the first one then sew everything together. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do about the hood and the pocket yet, but here's still plenty of time as I don't intend on wearing this one this year.

Crochenit Cot Blanket
Just a couple more rows added to this one.

Back of Left Glove - Men's Afghan Stitch Gloves.
I should probably post an update on the TCAL group that this is part of. I'm almost up to the fingers.

Slanted Scarf
It's very hard to see the progress on this, but there has been some.

4th Segment of the Daffodil Teacloth
I've finished the increase portion so, at least on this segment, the rows aren't going to get any bigger.

Squares in Squares Blanket
It's funny how I manage to get at least one photo where the colours just don't show up properly and this one seems to do it every week. I'm kinda regretting making the centre square so small as I may need to find some more colours to finish this one off.

Toddler's Jacket - Zoom by Ellen Gormley
Only a few more rows left to do on the first sleeve then I can start on the other.

That's all my progress for this week. Sue didn't give me any of her projects to photograph so you will have to wait a little while to see what she is working on.

As usual, checkout Tami's Amis, Ginny's Yarn Along, Kristine's Ambassador Crochet and Nicole's Keep Calm, Craft On to see what other's have been making this week.
