Prize winner # 5 - Australiana table runner

This is the last of my prize winners and is my own design.

This table runner is approximately 4' x 1' and is filet crochet in 20 cotton. All the flowers, animals and the Harbour Bridge designs were taken from a book that featured jumper pattern for each state and territory in Australia. The kangaroo and emu at each end had to be modified a little as they were a little too big in the original pattern.

Next week I will try to get pictures of some of my other projects, including a hexagonal tablecloth that I made over 11 years.

  1. I thought I had posted the comment.. ok I will have another go at it..
Congratulations. Your work is outstanding and to think you have your very own Aussie pattern . Have you designed others?? :)) If so where can we buy them ?? :)) Thanks for sharing :))

  2. That's the only table-runner that I've done and whether I design more will depend on whether or not I can find an outlet for my work. Probably Etsy or Artfire, or some other site that specialises in craft items.

I was selling at a local craft market in Conder ACT, but that's not so local now that I've moved to Albury NSW.
