Holiday Diary - Day 2

We have been in the UK for 2 days now and still haven't done any sight seeing. Partly because we still needed to organise a couple of things (a working GPS, bottled water, etc) and partly to get over the jet-lag.

We have managed to get out and meet a few of the locals and found our way to Tescos to pick up the required items so now we should (hopefully) be able to find our way around. We have found some very helpful people and some not so helpful and also think we need some sort of sign in the back window of the car that says something like "LOST - please give direction if possible" with a picture of the Aussie flag so that people behind us don't get so upset when we don't do what they're expecting, but I guess we will just have to get used to  the sound of car horn behind us, at least for a little while.

I've managed to get the photos off Sue's phone so I can now share them with you.

Still flying over Australia

Our first sight of England
I quite like the patchwork quilt appearance of the country at this height.

On final approach.
We hope to go for a wander around the city tomorrow and will be taking the camera with us.

Richard.
