Today we revisited Whitby, but this time we had more than 15 minutes to explore.

The plaque on this side was provided by the Australian people, the one on the back was from Canada, on the other side is a plaque from New Zealand. On the front is a general plaque describing Captain Cook and his exporitory expeditions.
The following is a panorama taken near Whitby Abbey on top of the hill to the east of Whitby. It includes the abbey and the town.

Tomorrow we will surprise the folks at Middlesbrough Citadel by paying them another visit. We may also revisit Captain Cook's birthplace.
